WE MADE OUR GOAL!!!
We are so grateful to all those that helped us reach our goal of $5,000
(actually we reached $10555 with your donations and the matching donation from our friend Toshie Murrell) to fund the shelter's Community Cat program.
These cats are not "owned" but live happily outside and are fed by someone in the community. This fund helps to spay/neuter these cats that are trapped and brought in to the shelter (by appointment), they are checked out by the vet and given vaccinations then released back out to their home.
Your donations meant a lot more cats in the community will be fixed and healthy and not producing oodles of new community cats. Thank you!

UNTIL THERE ARE NONE, SAVE ONE
Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter (FOHCAS) was formed in January 2014 to support the Hardin County Animal Shelter by providing materials and equipment that are outside of the shelter's budget, establishing a medical fund to provide veterinary care to injured and sick shelter pets, and educating the community about responsible pet ownership and help facilitate lasting adoptions that benefit both the pet and the petowner.
Our mission has expanded with the creation of our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program. The SNAP certificates assist Hardin County residents with getting their pets spayed/neutered at local veterinarians in the county. By working to reduce pet overpopulation we will - over time - reduce the number of pets that end up in our animal shelter.
100% of the donations to Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter are used to fulfill our mission. We have no paid employees, just volunteers willing to work for the pets of our county.
FOHCAS is a 501c3 tax exempt public charity.
