Why Rescues?

FOHCAS and Hardin County Animal Shelter are excited to work with over 90 rescues in the country.  We have saved over 900 dogs by working with rescues.  Sometimes you'll be interested in a pet and then be told it has been "pulled by a rescue" or "committed to rescue" - to understand why this can be a better option for a pet than a local adoption, please read "Why Rescues?" by Jo Ellen Thomas, our Rescue Coordinator.

Fosters
